What is Chiropractic? Is it safe?
Simply stated, chiropractic is a safe way of looking at the human body and how it moves. Our physicians incorporate neurological exams, orthopedic findings and physical evaluations to determin causes of the problem(s) or limitation(s). By completing a thorough evaluation and examination, a tailored treatment plan is designed to get your body functioning at its best.
What results can I expect from chiropractic care?
Our physicians want you feeling better from care! During your initial assessment, we'll ask you to tell us what activities you aren't able to do and design your treatment plan to include restoring those activities. Additionally, following your first visit, our physicians will provide you with specific home care instructions to keep you feeling relief in between visits.
What is acupuncture? How does it work?
Acupuncture is a medical treatment used to promote natural healing by supporting physical and emotional health. The energy of the body should travel like cars travel along highways. Just like roadways, your body can experience congestion, traffic jams and interuptions in normal flow.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most patients are surprised to discover acupuncture treatment is relatively pain-free! Most patients feel only minimal discomfort or awareness as the needles are inserted and some feel no dicsomfort at all. Once the needles are in place patients may experience a warming sensation, heaviness or flutter feeling around the needles, but not pain. Dr. Andria D'Amato uses sterile, disposable, single use needles made from stainless steel. The needles are as thin as a strand of human hair or a cat’s whisker.
